Apparently our Corning Ware teapot is in fact a coffee pot! From what I can tell it would originally have been sold with a percolator basket, which is missing form ours – but personally I think the shape is far more teapot than coffee pot, don’t you agree? It has the roundness of a teapot, but would also make for a great medium-sized stove-top kettle – far cheaper than most gas kettles you can buy today, and probably better quality too! And aside from the fact that the basket is awol, it’s actually in excellent condition, with the only signs of wear being some faint marks where the metal prongs from the lid have scratched the pot – otherwise this ‘teapot-cum-kettle’ is in tip-top shape!
