Contemporary Italian Vase

I’d never come across the glassmakers Industria Vetraria Valdarnese (IVV) before I bought today’s vase. It turns out that they’re something of an institution in Italy – they’ve been going since 1952, and today are one of Europe’s largest producers’ of mouth blown glass. They’re also not super cheap, with the price of a new IVV vase selling for anything from €30 to €230 – that’s nearly R4000! Unfortunately the maker’s label came off while we were cleaning the vase, but I’ve attached a photo that I took of the label before we cleaned it – just ignore my vitamin’s lying on the kitchen counter (I have a nasty cold!).

A very plain, but very stylish vase that will look fantastic showing off your long stemmed lilies or a few strelitzias picked straight from the garden!

Dimensions: 34.5cm tall x 6.5cm in diameter
