This moka pot’s had me pretty confused – it’s called a ‘Colour Express‘ and clearly states that it’s made in Italy, and when you do a Google search with that info time and time again you’ll come up with the name ‘Bialetti’. But nowhere on the coffee pot does it say that it’s made by Bialetti, which is fairly unusual? On the inside of the matte black lid is the name ‘Crusinallo‘ – it turns out that Bialetti are based in Crusinallo, so I have to presume that this is actually a Bialetti moka pot after all! I could tell that it was a well made coffee pot, so it makes sense to me that it’s a Bialetti, although I have no idea why the branding’s different? Not that I’m complaining – this is a great quality stove-top coffee pot in absolutely mint condition – in fact I don’t think it’s ever been used before!
P.S. A plain 3 cup Bialetti sells for R560 on Yuppiechef!
