Cast-Iron Belgian Pot

R320.00

It’s not often that we find a cast-iron pot as clean as today’s! I don’t think that the previous owner must have cooked very much at all – given that this pot is in the region of sixty years old, it’s nearly immaculate! It was made by Dutch company, De Koninklijke Diepenbrock en Reigers of Ulft (DRU), one of the oldest industrial companies in the Netherlands. DRU stopped producing cast-iron kitchenware in the early 1960s when they switched to making gas fireplaces, so it’s relatively easy to date our pot – not that you even need the background info – just one look at those beautiful fan handles, and you know this is an authentic vintage piece!

Note: Unfortunately we’re away at the moment, so aren’t able to provide dimensions for this piece
