Going on how roughly hewn this brass hanging planter is I think it’s safe to say that it’s a handmade piece – you can almost see the hammer marks where the metal was beaten – but that’s half the charm of it! The chain doesn’t have quite the same distressed  look to it, but you won’t really notice the difference between the two once than planter is hanging. It also obviously won’t retain its shine unless you polish it,  but I think tarnished brass can look just as attractive, especially if you pair it with the right plant – a heart leafed philodendron would look great tumbling over the side of this hanging basket!
