They may not be that refined, but anyone who collects these wall birds will know that you can’t be too picky – they’re rarer than bloody hens teeth! Or let me rephrase – more expensive than an Uber ride on New Years Eve! And while the porcelain versions are hard enough to come by, these little brass guys are even less common. In fact I’ve only ever come across one before (as in one brass bird, not a whole set) and he’s mine! The bird that I have is almost identical, but the metal’s in better nick, and in my memory (he’s been packed away since we moved), he’s a bit more delicate. Although I could well be wrong about that – I’ve had a look online, and they all seem to be pretty much the same design, with the largest bird being the most detailed, and the smallest a bit more naive. But I suppose it’s more the impression that counts – when they’re hanging on the wall you’re not likely to notice how intricate they are or aren’t.
An unusual and very attractive trio that would look fantastic hanging in your lounge or dining room!
NB: These birds are a bit smaller than their porcelain counterparts – please pay special attention to the dimensions below
Dimensions: Large bird – 14cm long x 10cm wide; Medium bird – 11cm long x 8cm wide; Small bird – 7cm long x 5cm wide
