Bavarian China Set

R175.00 R105.00

I bought this Bavarian Lindner Kueps china for it’s wonderful retro pattern, but I assumed that it was part of a larger set. Now that I’ve done a bit of research I’m not so sure – there’s a three piece boxed set of Lindner china for sale on eBay that’s not dissimilar in form, so I think this set might actually be complete after all! I’m still not sure what the different pieces are for though? Looking at the boxed set it looks like it may be some sort of dressing table paraphernalia? Some people also refer to the bowl as a ‘candy dish‘, and other sites refer to the oval dish as a toothpick holder, but personally I think it’s way too big for that? So I’m really not sure what they were originally intended to be used as, but I think I’d maybe use the lidded dish as a large sugar bowl, the oval dish for bread sticks, or folded paper napkins, and the plate as a snack dish. That’s my solution to the great mystery!

Dimensions: Lidded bowl – 11cm tall (with lid on) x 13cm in diameter; Oval dish – 9cm tall x 10cm wide x 6.5cm deep; Plate – approx. 23cm long x 19cm wide
