The elderly lady who I bought this teapot had quite a collection of Chinese and Japanese paraphernalia, some of the pieces with quite a bit of age to them – so while this teapot looks pretty much brand new, there’s a chance that the teapot might actually have a little bit of age to it. The shape of the teapot is one that appears in very old teapots, but also very contemporary versions, although I’m pretty sure that this has to be one of the newer models. It’s still a very handsome teapot though, with that lovely deep red glaze, and very sleek metal handle! Plus it’s in absolutely mint condition!
NB: The glaze is more of a maroon than the bright red that it appears in the photos
Dimensions: 18cm in diameter x 9cm tall (excl. handle)
