This Art Deco tray was clearly well used in its day because the stainless steel has loads of fine scratches and the (great!) Bakelite handles have a few minor chips along their edges. But despite the obvious wear it’s still a vet handsome tray, and would be great for displaying some fine glasses or decanters on a drinks trolley. The glasses, which in truth aren’t really the right shape to be called sherbet glasses (they just look like they’d be great for scoops of ice cream or sorbet), are in much better nick. I bought them for their shape and the fact that the glass is ribbed. They’re not super fancy, but they don’t look to be moulded either, so are probably more or less middle of the road in terms of quality (but up there in terms of style!).
Note: There are two sets of glasses for sale – one set of six, and one set of four.
Dimensions: Tray – 44cm long x 22.5cm wide x 2.5cm deep; Glasses – 10.5cm tall x 6cm in diameter (at their widest)
