These 1930s Alfred Meakin sandwich plates are part of the same tea set that we featured earlier in the week. Like our teapot, which had a bit of damage, today’s cups are quite worn, with the art deco pattern nearly completely worn away on some of the cups. For that reason we’re throwing the teacups in with the side plates, which fortunately are in much better nick! The paintwork on two of the plates is a bit tired looking, but the remaining plates aren’t in bad condition at all considering their age, and fortunately none of the plates have any chips or cracks!
