I think this has to be the most expensive ice bucket I’ve ever bought, although as the dealer who I bought it from rightly pointed out, it’s not an ice bucket per se, but rather a thermos of sorts. Dubbed the Penguin Hot & Cold Server, this West Bend American-made insulated bowl dates to the art deco period, with textured brown bakelite handles, and the most wonderful embossed penguins that run around the centre of the bowl – they really are quite fabulous!! And it’s in great condition for its age, with the only wear being fine scratches to the metal (definitely more visible in real life than in the photos), and some corrosion to the screw at the base of the bowl.
