Arabia Honey & Jam Pots (Each)

What a great find these little Arabia Finland honey and jam pots were! The Pomona series, which featured fruit and vegetable motifs designed by Esteri Tomula, first appeared in Arabia catalogues in the 1950s. From 1965 the patterns were designed by Raija Uosikkinen, so I’m not sure precisely who was responsible for today’s lovely little pots, although most sites seem to attribute them to Uosikkinen. As far as I can tell production of the pots ended in 1975, making these chaps a minimum of 43 years old! There’s some wear to the lid of the strawberry pot, although it looks like something that might have happened during the manufacturing process, and on the whole the pots are in good condition.

P.S.: These pots may be petite, but the prices that they sell for sure aren’t – a bee pot (minus its lid) is currently for sale on Etsy for a whopping £65 (R1190), with the strawberry pot going for £40 (R730)!

Dimensions: Each pot measures 6.5cm tall x 10.5cm in diameter (across lid)
