These 1950s Arabia Finel coffee percolators are probably my very favourite design when it comes to coffee pots, which is why I bought this fire-engine red pot the other day, despite it being a bit of a sorry state! It looks like somebody got some seriously good use out of this coffee pot – they pretty much worked it to death – which must at least mean that it makes a decent cup of coffee (why else would they carry on using it for so many years)! The base on the inside of the pot is pretty badly worn, although I suppose that doesn’t mean that it still won’t produce a decent cup of joe – it’s just not very nice to look at. Fortunately though the outside of the pot is still very handsome, so it will look great sitting on top of your gas stove. and of course the wear and tear means that it’s way cheaper than it would ordinarily be – in good nick these coffee pots can sell for upwards of R1500 online!
