1980s Japanese Folding Lamp

R150.00

You don’t get much more ’80s than this Japanese folding lamp by Kyoji Tanaka, but I like to think that it fits into that very small category of ‘good ’80s’! It’s a very simple, lightweight design, that operates off batteries as a first choice, with the option of adding mains after the fact. It’s also designed so that it can be hung on a wall, which would be super easy given how little it weighs. Personally I think it’s quite a cool piece, and it seems there are a few other people who agree with me – online this lamp can sell for as much as €40 – a lot for such a wee piece of plastic!

Dimensions: Approx. 24cm tall when full extended; Base measures 12cm in diameter
