1980s German Heart Jar

Waechtersbach Ceramics is a German pottery house that’s been in operation since 1832. I don’t really know much about them, accept for the fact that they’re famous for this fabulous heart design, which they used on everything from dinner plates to candle holders. I’ve always loved it (really, what’s not to love!), but I seldom see it for sale – in fact I don’t think I’ve ever sold any Waechtersbach pieces before! So to find this delightful kitchen canister, complete with its original cork stopper, was a real win! The cork might not be immaculate, but it’s still completely functional, and if it’s an issue for you, you could always lose it and use the jar for holding kitchen utensils. Otherwise keep it complete and you’ve got yourself the most delightful tea or sugar jar!

Dimensions: 12cm tall (with cork stopper) x 10.5cm in diameter
