Clint Clemens is an American commercial photographer who started his career in Boston in the early 1980s, which is when the print that we have for sale today dates to. There are hints of the ’80s in the composition – that blue feather (is it a feather?) stands out – and venetians were obviously all the rage thirty years ago, but I think that the artwork still holds up well today. Personally I think I’d reframe it as it’s the slightly plasticky frame that for me harks back to that rather frightening decade, but it’s also not a terrible frame, so you could probably get away with hanging it as is if you weren’t too offended by it!
