This tea set from Tower (England) has definitely been well used in its time. The tea pot in particular has a lot of scratches, but I quite like the contrast of its delicate design with its slightly rough condition. The set is made from aluminium so is a lot lighter than the more common silver-plated or stainless steel sets, but it has the advantage of never needing polishing!

This Tower coffee percolator has definitely seen better days! But regardless of the condition I always buy these coffee pots when I come across them, because no matter their state they are always so lovely to look at. They generally have moulded glass tops, art deco-style handles and a ridged body. This piece will definitely add character to a modern kitchen.
