Balboa Ashtray

I’ve been collecting venetian ashtrays for years, and to be honest I think I’d carry on hunting for these beautiful pieces of glass even if I didn’t smoke. I just love the way the different colours look when grouped together. I actually have the same ashtray in blue, and it’s possibly my favourite of all my ashtrays (and I have quite a few!). Aside from its curves, I really appreciate the contrast of the coloured glass against the white interior of the ashtray. A beautiful piece!

I think that this murano-style glass platter dates to the 1970s. It’s predominantly red, flowing into yellow with a white swirl coming from its centre. It’s a sizeable piece and would look fantastic displayed on a glass coffee table (I tried it out on mine!) or on a shelf with a collection of coloured glass.

Top View of Murano Ashtray

This is without a doubt the most beautiful ashtray I’ve ever come across! Its asymmetrical angles and combination of blue and yellow glass that create different colours depending how you view it, take my breath away. Every time I see it my heart skips a beat!

Glass ashtray

A pale green glass ashtray with white swirls. It looks to be murano, but I can’t say for sure. It has a lovely simplicity to its shape.
