Fire King pyrex dish

This lovely ’70s style pattern is new to me, which is always pretty exciting. The moment you think you’ve seen them all, another pattern emerges. I think a collection of all the patterns that appear on pyrexware would make a great coffee table book – seriously I think it would be an interesting way to look at design. Aside from its attractive pattern, this dish is also in near perfect nick, and is the ideal size for a meal for two. A real little gem!

Set of 4 Fire King bowls

These Fire King Pyrex bowls may be small, but they pack a punch design-wise! I just love love love the colours! I’m not sure what these bowls are meant to be used for, but if I could I’d buy them just to look at – athough I’m sure they’ll turn out to be quite handy in the kitchen (small bowls often do don’t they?).

Please note: For the most part the bowls are in good nick, but the black edge of the red bowl has worn away in places.

I love the colour of this pyrex bowl from Fire King! The bowl’s in good condition and is a decent size. The perfect bowl for serving up a scrumptious pasta dish, or for the more health conscious, a lentil & feta salad would look delightful displayed in this lovely bowl.

Fire King pyrex dish

I think that this lovely Fire King pyrex dish dates to the late ’60s. Fire King was produced by Anchor Hocking, hence the maker’s mark. Interestingly Anchor Hocking’s factory burnt down in 1924, and I can’t help but wonder if that may have been the inspiration for the name ‘Fire King’! I love the simple pattern on this dish, and while it’s not the largest dish, I think its size is quite practical.

Fire King Pyrex Bowl

This jade-coloured pyrex bowl from Fire King is one of my favourite colours! There’s something quite serene about it. It’s quite a small bowl, but that’s sometimes quite useful to have in a kitchen – you don’t want to go washing up large bowls unnecessarily now do you?
