I must admit, I have a bit of a soft spot for these vintage Spong & Co mincers! They’re definitely the most attractive mincers out there, and I like the fact that they’re so petite compared to the cast-iron mincers you need to clamp onto the side of a table. They’re also more practical in that respect – most of us don’t have kitchen tables to clamp mincers onto, so these versions that can suction onto a kitchen counter are much more likely to actually be used. And used they are – you would be surprised at how many inquiries I get from men looking for mincers to make their own sausages. Respect for the rise of the metrosexual man who’s as handy in the kitchen as he is under the hood of a car (although I know a lot more men who can bake a cake than change the oil in their car!).
Note: The wingnut that secures the blades is not original
