Cake stands are always quite cool (in the right setting!), but I particularly love the versions that come with these umbrella handles. I’ve actually only ever seen this type of handle on Midwinter’s cake plates, so I’m not sure if this one has been adapted or if Old Foley also made them. The Midwinter versions date to the 1950s, so I’m assuming that this one is from a similar era. The black plate does have some scratches that don’t show up in the pics, but other than that it’s a pretty clean piece. Make a statement at your next tea party with some petits fours displayed on this striking stand.
