Metamec electric clock
Metamec is one of my very favourite makes of vintage clocks – they were prolific producers of time keepers during the 1950s, and all of the models I’ve been lucky enough to find have had such great style to them. While it’s always nice to have a bit of colour, this more sedate version is probably quite practical in terms of matching existing décor schemes. And while it is quite a plain piece, the font of the numbers and the convex glass give it as much style as it needs. An ideal bedside clock that keeps perfect time!
Note: the carriage of the clock has yellowed slightly with time
