1950s Whistling Stove-top Kettle – SOLD

Glasbake whistling kettle
This is only the second Glasbake whistling kettle I’ve ever come across, so I think they’re probably fairly rare in this country. I love its ’50s beehive shape, its bakelite stopper, and of course the fact that it’s made of glass! The metal parts are a bit worse for wear, with quite a bit of pitting, but the glass itself is in great nick. A fantastic, functional piece of vintage kitchenalia!
Dimensions: 20cm tall x 17cm in diameter (according to the markings it holds 10 cups)
Price: R160
