Burleigh Ware Baby's Plate

Burleigh Ware Baby's Plate

I think that this Burleigh Ware baby’s plate dates to the 1940s. It has a lovely soft yellow glaze with a colourful steam engine print at its centre. This would make a very special gift for a baby-shower – better than the Woolies baby-grows we all resort to!

Dimensions: 17cm across x 3.5cm high

Price: R120

Pair of Pyrex Bowls – SOLD

28 Sep

This is another pair of pyrex bowls that I bought at different places, but are clearly part of the same set. The red & green kitchen decals remind me of those great kitchen tiles from ’70s.

Dimensions: Each bowl measures 12cm high x 20cm across

Price: R140 (for the set)

Carlton Ware Bonbon Dish

It took me a while to appreciate the kitchness of Carlton Ware, but over the years I must say I’ve become quite a fan! There are a few small chips on the underside of this snack dish (see pics under ‘more’), but the overall appearance is still quite clean.

Dimensions: 6cm high x 15cm at it’s longest x 12cm at its widest

Price: R95

Melamine Kitchen Set – SOLD

Addis Melamine Set

Addis Melamine Set

It’s the the bright orange of these melamine kitchen implements that makes them so fantastic! I also really like the fact that they’re made by Addis, an SA brand that despite having been around for nearly a century, is hard to find decent retro pieces of. Add a bit of flair to your cooking with these hardy, funky accessories!

Dimensions: Each piece measures 30cm in length

Price: R120 (for set of three)
