Cast iron casserole dish
Soft sea-green cast-iron casserole dish with grey trim and metal lid. This pot has been well used, and some of the coating has worn on the inside of the dish (see pic under ‘more’), but i’m sure that it’s still got a good few years of life left. Old-school heavy pot, made to last!

Le Creuset Casserole Dish
A Le Creuset casserole dish with a soft yellow enamel finish and a lid that sits seamlessly on its base. I haven’t come across this shape before, and I simply love the minimalism of its form. This piece has seen plenty of use, so please be aware that its condition is far from perfect (see additional pics for details of wear and tear). That being said it would make a fantastic addition to any serious cook’s collection.

Twyfords ceramic ashtray
The simplicity of the shape and the clarity of the glaze make this ashtray very pleasing on the eye. It has a very small chip, but otherwise is in excellent condition!

I bought this set in a small trading store in Howick, KZN. The shop has been there for over a hundred years (although the coffee set is nowhere near that old, in fact it looks to be fairly modern), and is only now moving to self-service. The coffee set was still in its original dust-covered box, so has never been used. As I said it’s definitley modern, and has no maker-mark to speak of, but it has nice clean lines and having never been used is in near-perfect condition.
